The problems of maintaining cognitive competence as a prerequisite for increasing life expectancy are considered. It is noted that cognitive processes can be developed and restored at any age. Data are presented according to which systematic physical activity stimulates neuro-trophic processes in the brain and leads to structural and functional changes that activate intellectual activity. In this regard, the goal is to create physical training and individual exercise programs that are accessible to the General population. It is noted that for the development and implementation of psychophysiological programs aimed at preserving and restoring the cognitive processes of older people, greater clarity is needed in understanding the mechanisms of influence on the intelligence of physical activity, as well as an economic assessment of the implementation of these programs at the regional Federal level.
