The article presents data on the results of breeding work for developing ultra-early and early-maturing soybean varieties for cultivation in the Northern regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan -Kostanay, Pavlodar, Akmola regions. The work is carried out according to the full scheme of the breeding process. Two scientific organizations of Kazakhstan take part in the development of ultra-early varieties - LLP “Agricultural Experimental Station “Zarechnoye” under the leadership of LLP “Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Crop Production”. The efficiency of hybridization varies within 415%. Soybean varieties have been developed and submitted: 000 maturity group - Rusia, the growing season is 85-90 days, the average yield - 26.6 c/ha; 00 maturity group - Firefly, the growing season is 90-95 days, the average yield - 27.7 c/ha, Ivushka, the growing season is 90-95 days, the average yield -24.0 c/ha; 0 maturity group - Northern Lights, the growing season is 105-107 days, the average yield -23.3 c/ha. The variety Ivushka is approved for production in Kostanay, Pavlodar and Akmola regions.
