Specific proceeding in the context of the development of special proceedings in the criminal process of the Republic of Belarus

The article analyses the tendency to expand the range of special proceedings in the criminal procedure of the Republic of Belarus. The normative regulation of the newest one - specific proceeding - is considered. The external conditions that prompted legislator to include specific proceeding in the Criminal Procedure Code of Belarus are identified.
