Custodial institutions as a subject of prevention of juvenile delinquency: history and modern state

In this article such compulsory measure of educational influence for minors as their placement in special educational institution of the closed type is considered. The author describes the history of the establishment of these institutions, analyzes the current state of juvenile delinquency and on the basis of this conclusion about the actualization of the application of this norm.
