The article deals with the possibilities of personal socialization in the provincial towns of Russia. The author discusses the specific features of personal development in small towns of the country, noting the factors of socialization process. On the one hand, there is a risk of sociocultural destruction, on the other hand, provincials of the secondary stage of socialization have a specific social identity based on the priorities of life in provincial towns.
