Specific manifestations of mnemic processes in children with mental retardation of primary school age

The article discusses the problem of memory. The characteristic of memory types is given, the features of mnemic processes, the role of memory in the learning process are revealed. Special attention is paid to the description of some features of mnemic processes in primary school children with mental retardation and normotypic children. The article also describes the results of an empirical study of the characteristics of short-term, long-term and visual memory of both children with mental retardation and normotypic children.
