The article examines the state and development of noble education in the North Caucasus region as part of the all-Russian, socio-cultural and educational space. The relevance of the research is defined by the following fact: traditions and historical foundations that were laid in the educational system of the Russian Empire are an enduring socially significant experience that must be used in the modern period. Despite some narrowness of this aspect of educational activity, noble education in the region laid the foundation for the creation of a nationwide educational system in the region, and the experience of its creation and organization of the educational process certainly has a great value. The scientific novelty of the research lies in review of processes for the first time in the environment of the noble education of the North Caucasus in their dialectical relationship with the same processes in Imperial Russia in the late XIXth - early XXth centuries, based on the collected scientific material and literature. The authors have shown how the trends existing in noble education at the national imperial level have found expression in the educational and socio-cultural space of the North Caucasus region.
