The specifics of formation and use of intangible assets of enterprises in the Soviet Union and in modern Russia

The article analyzes intangible assets (IA) that existed in the USSR, showing their difference from classical assets of this kind. The author assesses the influence of the rudiments of the Soviet economic system on the activities of modern enterprises and notes that a lack of understanding of the active role of IA in modern business is a significant obstacle to Russia’s economic development.
