Specific features of hypertextuality of the modern information environment

The article discusses essential and functional aspects of hypertextuality as the key feature of the modern information environment. The author studies the problem of classification of hypertext information sources, the mechanisms of understanding and semantic interpretation of their cultural content. Hypertext is considered as a form of communication in the society focused on multiple data flows, as a structure of knowledge, consciousness and culture, as a means of creative fulfillment of a person.
