The features and the problems of secondary socialization of elderly people in the process of social service

The article deals with socialization of a person, its features, objective and subjective factors, reviews the scholars' opinions about primary and secondary socialization. Based upon the statistical data, the author presents the key issues of elderly people, who receive social services in the Russian Federation. The paper discusses the areas of the state strategy focused on development of the system of social security of older citizens, improvement of quality of their life and active longevity in the context of the socio-economic crisis.
