The specific features of ecological information in the mass media as a means of constructing ecological consciousness of Russians

Nowadays ecological and environmental problems become more relevant than ever in all highly urbanized and industrially developed countries around the world, including Russia. To fight against them, the preventive measures are a high-priority task. The development and implementation of such measures require in-depth knowledge of the causes of ecological problems. The reasons are explained by the specific features of human interaction with the environment, which, in turn, is determined by ecological consciousness. This article describes a constructivist approach to the formation of Russians' ecological consciousness, in which the pivotal and translational features of ecological information received from the mass media play a decisive role. The study presents the content analysis results for news programs of Tatarstan federal and local TV, which was conducted in May 2017.
