Specificity of legal and regulatory framework of a sports trainer status in the Russian Federation

The article studies the concept and content of the legal status of a sports coach in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of Russian legislation, the general and special legal statuses are distinguished and characterized. Attention is paid to the most controversial issues of regulation of the rights and obligations of coaches by labor law. The grounds of bringing a coach to administrative and criminal liability are considered. The legal status of a sports coach is specified in the norms of the «Tripartite industry agreement on the organization of the sphere of the PES of the Russian Federation for 2019 - 2021», including taking into account the social guarantees provided to the coach. The paper provides an analysis of the results of an oral survey and questionnaires of 20 respondents, which confirms the indicated problem in the study on the need to increase the legal literacy of coaches for the successful realize of their rights and freedoms, as well as the competent resolution of disputes and conflicts between participants in sports relations. The study reveals the features of regulation of the sports coach status in Russia.
