The process approach to studying credit relations in the agro-industrial complex interprets credit as a flow of loanable funds and defines credit mechanism as a way of emerging relations arrangement. According to this approach, the credit facility model in the agro-industrial complex involves the consideration of the following elements and processes: 1) input (the need for funding sources transformed into a demand for credit); 2) output (satisfaction of the need for credit as a result of interaction between demand and supply); 3) resources (sources of loanable funds); 4) management (market self-regulation and state regulation); 5) the flow of loanable funds (the area of credit relations). Further algorithm development of this model is based on the identification of the flow stages of the loanable funds and their components. It allows one to represent the credit mechanism as a network of interrelated processes where the input of one process becomes the output of the other. In the context of digital economy, such interpretation of the credit mechanism is relevant for solving econometric problems concerning the interaction between credit and other economic categories.
