The paper presents the results of the study of osteological material collected during the excavation of a number of the Lomovatov and Rodanov archaeological monuments in Perm region of Cis-Urals. The first hunters came to the region during the pre-glacial period; then, during the Neolithic revolution, appropriating economy was replaced by the producing one. In the 11 th-12 th centuries, fundamental changes took place in the economy of Perm region, especially the transition to plow farming was important. However, appropriating economy continued to play an important role among the population until the 19 th century. The Cis-Ural region belongs to the zone of temperate latitudes; its flora and fauna are relevant to the features of climate. The author studied 65,884 animal bones. Among them, about 7% belonged to wild animals, 34% - to domestic animals. Among the bone remains of wild animals found during the excavations, we can distinguish the remains of beavers, mooses, reindeers. The remains of squirrels, rabbits, martens, bears, foxes, birds, fish, etc. are less represented. About 56% of all animal remains are not identified. Therefore, the knowledge of the appropriating economy of Perm medieval population remain incomplete. To present a more complete picture of Perm medieval economy and to highlight the main objects of hunting, the author presents the information from historical and ethnographic sources.
