Features of regional news journalism in the Telegram messenger

The article characterizes the main directions of development of regional telegram journalism. The relevance of the work is due, on the one hand, to the increased interest of the audience in news content on Telegram in recent years, its rapid growth, and on the other hand, to the increase in the time spent by users consuming the site’s content. The research material was telegram channels of Volgograd media. The features of the representation of news content in the messenger, the topics and format of publications, and the specifics of interaction with the target audience are characterized.
