Specificity of the modern political culture of Russians and the residents of the Altai region

The article considers the concept of political culture in Russia, as well as the characteristics of the factors contributing to its formation. It outlines the key criteria for political control. The author analyses the formation of political culture in Altai Krai. She indicates the specificity and the role of public authorities and regional administrations in development of the residents' political culture. The paper reveals the concept of "political culture". Analysis of political culture allows, for example, to explain why the same in form government institutions in different countries have different functional purposes or why the democratic government institutions and constitutional norms in certain countries can coexist with a totalitarian political regime. Attitude towards politics and the political regime may change depending on various factors.
