The specific nature of the modern Russian youth culture and the factors affecting its development: secondary analysis and synthesis of empirical data

Youth culture due to its variability is one of the pressing social problems. The emphasis on the culture of Russian youth is determined by the fact that young people and their knowledge, rules, values and behaviors determine the future of the Russian society as a whole. It is relevant to study the following questions when a significant transformation of youth culture is noticeable: what forms the youth culture will exist and what types of relations and practices will be reproduced, which knowledge will be socially relevant, what values will dominate and determine social standards, what behavior will be permissible and socially approved and what will be tabooed. The research is based on the secondary analysis and synthesis of data from several empirical sociological studies conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation on the Russian youth culture in order to get an idea of its current state.
