The article reviews and summarizes the results of an empirical study of the characteristics of psychological adaptation of younger students, depending on the type of parent-child relationships preferred in the family. A detailed study of the problems was carried out by dividing the sample of subjects in accordance with the level of psychological adaptation. The level of adaptation is determined by the type of parent-child relationship.
