The frequency spectrum, spatial distribution, and mode losses in a three-mirror ring optical resonator were analytically calculated. The frequency spectrum and losses for the fundamental and first transverse modes were experimentally measured. Based on the results, practical recommendations for precise resonator alignment were developed.
