Spectral study of the electrochemical noise of lithium current sources

A possibility of obtaining information on the time and frequency evolution of electrochemical noise from the data of the transmission of a series of discharge pulses through supercapacitors and batteries is shown in order to establish the nature of noise processes during the discharge of chemical power sources. The measurements are carried out for several lithium ionistors and accumulators in the noise signal registration range from 10-1 to 25 Hz. In the investigated frequency range, the noise signal is a composition of flicker noise and stationary white noise. The contributions of individual components to the frequency spectrum of the noise are determined. The results obtained can be used both for fundamental research of fluctuation noise phenomena and for applied purposes of diagnostics of chemical current sources.
