Spectral properties of magneto-photonic crystals in the domaine of magnetic resonance

In this article we investigate the influence of magnetic field on the reflection spectra of one-dimensional magneto-photonic crystal of two types. The first type is a layered magnetic-dielectric structure without defects, the second one is a structure with an inversion defect, which can be either magnetic or dielectric. If the frequency of magnetic resonance is close to the central frequency of one of the forbidden photonic band gaps or to the frequency of the defected mode, it creates a significant reconstruction of the spectrum in the mentioned frequency domain. Namely, it can bring the depression of the oscillation spectrum and the defective mode, that allows to control effectively over this structure spectrum by a magnetic field.
