Splenectomy in dogs: working out the methodology of the operation and the clinical and diagnostic characteristics of intensive care

One of the urgent problems of veterinary medicine is the study of aspects of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of spleen diseases in dogs. Diseases of the spleen in domestic animals are extremely common, often lead to a sharp deterioration in the clinical condition, and, ultimately, with untimely diagnosis, to premature death. This article discusses the technique of total splenectomy using a laparotomy incision, and also presents the main methods of intensive therapy in dogs, which is a key step to ensure successful recovery and minimize the risks of postoperative complications.
