Sports diplomacy before the challenges of the new world order

This article examines issues related to the problems of developing Russian sports diplomacy, taking into account the challenges that Russia currently faces. The author notes that the current situation in the field of sports diplomacy is characterized by attempts by Western countries to isolate Russian sports, limiting the possibilities of sports diplomacy in solving foreign policy problems, using discriminatory practices, depriving Russia of the status of a great sports power. In this regard, the article examines the practice of discriminatory restrictions in relation to Russian high-performance sports, and provides recommendations aimed at activating Russia's diplomatic efforts in the field of high-performance sports.
