Mode for measurement of «kolodka» length in pigs

The author proposes the mode for measurement of «kolodka» length in different breeds of pigs, which excludes measurement of neck length. It was shown, that determination of «kolodka» length is less labour-intensive and more accurate mode, than measurement of body length. On basis of obtained surveys and correlation coefficients the scales were developed for distribution to classes of pedigree animals, remount young animals, boars or sows of the Tuklinskaya or the Landras breeds.
