Method for determining residual life case in the valuation of vessels and floating

The price for vessels and other floating crafts on the second market depends significantly from the level of hull depreciation on the basis of which the residual value is determined before a vessel final disposal. The present article is giving an engineering-based method for determining of the residual value of a hull. The proposed method compared to the standard methods, which are presently applicable in usual practice, is a one physically based method as it is being performed on the results of instrumental measurements of hull constructions periodically made in conformity with requirements of Register during fault detection of hull plating and framing.
