Ways of rendering Spanish paroemiological units into Russian in the novel “Don Quixote” by M. de Cervantes

The article analyzes the ways of rendering Spanish paroemiological units into Russian. The analysis is based on the paroemias used by Cervantes in his novel “The history of the valorous and wittie Knight-Errant Don-Quixote of the Mancha” and their translation into Russian made by N. Lyubimov. It is found that rendering of the paroemiological units was carried out in three main ways: accurate (literal) translation, use of transformations, replacement of the Spanish paroemias by the Russian equivalents.
