Ways to problematize the concept of leisure in its relation to the philosophy cause

This paper discusses the problem of the discourse on the phenomenon of leisure in modern times. The author considers two approaches of different modern philosophers. The first approach is a historical-philosophical one, in which the phenomenon σχολη in antiquity is described without a description of its reception in modern times. In this case, σχολη becomes a phenomenon only of ancient philosophy. The second approach involves the reception of the phenomenon of leisure in modernity, but only through criticism of modernity regarding the possibility of ancient leisure today as such. This approach implies modern leisure only through the negation of the phenomenon in antiquity, which does not allow redefining the phenomenon of leisure. The third provision of the paper raises the question of the concept transformation and method, contributing to the disclosure of the concept of leisure in modern times. The phenomenon of leisure is understood as a place in which a thought arises.
