Comparison of additional methods of diagnosis dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint

Бесплатный доступ

The aim of this study was to compare additional methods for the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction in order to determine the most effective method for diagnosing this condition. The following methods were studied: TMJ radiography, TMJ computed tomography, TMJ magnetic resonance imaging, and electromyography. The effectiveness of each method was compared based on diagnostic accuracy, accessibility, safety, and cost. The results of the study showed that TMJ magnetic resonance imaging was the most effective method for diagnosing TMJ dysfunction, providing high diagnostic accuracy and safety for patients. However, this method was also the most expensive among all the studied methods.
