Comparison of the efficiency of algorithms for calculating the operating mode of a traffic light object

Currently, the Russian Federation does not have mandatory regulations governing the design of a traffic light control cycle, which makes it difficult to develop and implement new solutions. The existing methodological recommendations and state standards significantly limit the opportunities for implementing innovative ideas. In this regard, domestic and foreign approaches to the development of the traffic light program were considered. The results obtained suggest that it is necessary to improve existing methodological documents and include modern and proven tools for calculating traffic light cycles.
