The study of cognitive functions is extremely relevant, since the development of modern technologies has a direct impact on them. As part of our study, a comparison was made of classical (in the works of J. Piaget) and modern studies of cognitive functions. The results show that modern studies take into account the influence of digital technologies, such as: TV, distance learning, the Internet, and it is ambiguous. We can see both the negative side of this influence and the positive. On the one hand, thanks to new technologies, a child can learn more about the world in the learning process, without even leaving home, but on the other hand, there is a tendency for memory loss, poor eyesight, weight gain, nervousness and aggression.
