The analysis of differences in socio-economic indicators between two groups of regions of modern Russia: with the maximum indicators of migration growth and migration decline of the population is carried out. The sample population amounted to 19 subjects of the Russian Federation. 27 indicators were compared for each of the selected regions with the corresponding indicator for the country. Socio-economic indicators were analyzed, which characterize: incomes and expenditures of the population; provision of housing and commissioning of residential facilities; development of trade and paid services; demographic composition of the population; health development; employment and unemployment; the level of education of the population; ecological parameters of the territory. The analysis showed that migration processes in the regions of the sample population are significantly affected by the level of unemployment and housing. In regions with maximum migration decline, the mortality rate in the working age is higher. The source of information was the indicators of Rosstat for 2019.
