The study included 112 patients with T3N1-3M0 laryngeal cancer. The combined treatment with preoperative irradiation followed by surgery was found to be the most effective treatment modality for patients with T3N1-3M0 laryngeal cancer allowing the treatment time to be reduced and radiation-induced damages to be minimized.
