The comparative characteristic of techniques for the quality assessment of educational services in the market of higher education

This article describes the existing techniques for the quality assessment of educational services in the market of higher education - model of differences in the quality of services, the concept of a neutral zone, the typology of the additive and multiplicative elements and the theory of attractive quality. The role of the state is presented as from the side of educational services proposal so from the side of the demand for this type of services. The need to assess the quality of educational services for recepients of education and labour market is formulated. The author''s point of view regarding the use of these assessment methods is expressed; critical remarks towards them are formulated. The result of the review is the conclusion of the author that the evaluation of the educational services effectiveness is the key to a successful transition to the knowledge economy and competitiveness of universities.
