Comparative characteristics of microbial communities of the upper layer of black soils typical in strictly protected steppes of the Central Chernozem Reserve named after AA Alekhin and black soils, which are in agricultural use, that is experiencing human-induced pressures at various levels. It is shown that total number of bacteria determined by gas chromatography - mass spectrometry, was similar in soils from the agricultural use of options and two times lower than in the black soils steppe reserve.
