Comparative characteristics of positive characters in English and Russian-language fairy tales

The Article is devoted to the study of the characteristics of the main characters of English and Russian folk tales. The subject of similarity of fairy tales of different peoples is considered, the main reasons for the similarity of plots, the similarity of characters in fairy tales of the peoples of the world are revealed. The features of English and Russian folk tales are defined. A comparative analysis of the characteristics of the main characters is carried out. In conclusion, it is revealed that in English and Russian folk tales, the main characters perform one function, representing the mentality of their people.
