Comparative efficacy of synthetic and biological prostheses in axillary-femoral position in the treatment of critical limb ischemia

The analysis of complex examination of surgical treatment of 60 patients with critical lower limb ischemia on the basis of atherosclerotic lesions of the aorto-iliac-femoral segment and with severe medical conditions that prevent the implementation of direct reconstructive operations on the aorta. All the faces were male, age of the patients ranged from 56 to 78 years. Patients on the axillary-femoral bypass technology were divided into 2 statistically homogeneous groups of 30 people each. Patients of the first group was used as a synthetic polytetrafluoroethylene graft prosthesis, while the second group - biological prosthesis of bovine internal thoracic artery.
