Comparative assessment of the functional state of students studying in the areas of training «Physical culture» and «Applied mathematics and computer science»

With the help of a set of methods, including the determination of hemodynamic parameters and the analysis of heart rate variability according to R.M. Baevsky, the functional state of physical education students and mathematics students was studied. There were no noticeable differences between the groups of students. The functional state is assessed as prenosological, differs in the presence of reserves of the circulatory system and can be corrected with the help of physical culture. With the help of a multilevel personality questionnaire (MLO) "Adaptivity", it was found that mathematics students with a high level of adaptability were distinguished by the most unfavorable combination of hemodynamic parameters and indicators of cardiac regulation systems, which was manifested by significantly higher values of systolic pressure, heart rate and activity index of regulatory systems reflecting the overstrain of regulatory mechanisms of cardiac activity. Among physical education students with a high level of adaptability, values were recorded that, according to the WHO classification, were assessed as grade I hypertension, which must be taken into account when planning training and training loads.
