Comparative estimation to density of the population steepe woodchuck in zakaznik of Urazovka Nizhegorodskoy area and in Dubenskom region of Republic of Mordovia

The purpose given work was a determination to density of the population steepe woodchuck in zakaznik of Urazovka Nizhegorodskoy area and area Lashtyrma in Republic Mordovia. Work on account of the woodchuck were conducted in 2007-2014 years. As a result of studies is installed that on Lashtyrme under influence burrow to activity woodchuck is found whole 4,3% from the general area of the area, in zakaznik of Urazovka and vicinity - 3,2%. On one specimen in zakaznik of Urazovka at the average it happens to on 4,6 burrows, on Lashtyrme - to on 2,1 burrows. The average amount by person in family woodchuck in condition zakaznik of Urazovka forms 3,3; on Lashtyrme - 5. Possible establish that fact that population of the steepe woodchuck on specifically protected natural territory Nizhegorodskoy area has a best factors on the number, than in Republic Mordovia, but on density of the population to factors comparable (≈1 specimen on 1 ga).
