The performance properties of the tire are decisive for the creation of the necessary traction performance, smooth running and compacting effect on the soil by mobile agricultural machinery. The purpose of the research is to establish the traction and coupling indicators of large tires with different designs, for tractors of the fifth traction class. We have chosen an experimental research method using a specially designed and manufactured measuring complex of the "tire tester" type. It is known that the traction efficiency rate of a mobile power plant (tractor), which characterizes its operational efficiency rate, is largely determined by the value of the efficiency rate of its running system. The output performance indicators of the running systems of wheeled mobile power facilities depend on many factors, but in particular on the design of pneumatic tires: overall dimensions and internal structure of their casings. The test results of the compared tires showed that the traction performance of tractors of class 5 with running systems on tires with optimal parameters of the inner reinforcement is higher than in the standard configuration; all tested varieties of tires for tractors of the fifth traction class on a rigid support base (concrete) showed practically the same performance indicators, with the exception of tires 33R-32M and 33DP-32, which have a higher traction efficiency; on the stubble of grain crops and on a steam, the traction efficiency is also higher by 0.03 with less slipping from 5% to 16% for tires 33R-32M and 33DP-32 than for serially produced tires 30.5R-32 and 33R-32 (this advantage is especially manifested when a reduced pressure is established in them: for the 33R-32M tire - 0,09 MPa and 0,11 MPa, and for the 33DP-32 tire - 0,07 MPa and 0,09 MPa, respectively, when driving across the field, prepared for sowing and stubble grain crops).
