Issues in the field of inheritance are among the most common for scientific study, this is explained by the significance of the legal structure of inheritance as a mechanism for the transfer of property from the testator to his heirs. This article is devoted to the study of the grounds of inheritance in both Russian and foreign law. Based on an analysis of legislation, the article summarizes the main differences and similarities in inheritance systems. The article also discusses the legal basis for the transfer of inheritance, the features of inheritance of movable and immovable property, as well as the nuances that affect the inheritance process in various legal systems.
