Comparative study of onomatopoeia in different languages

This article is devoted to the study of the actual linguistic material based on the survey conducted among foreign students (Turkmen and Mongolians), where colloquial units were recorded, as well as the results of a survey among Kalmyks. The data of live colloquial speech is compared to the existing materials of Kalmyk-Russian dictionary under edition of B.D. Muniev.
