Comparative data on spinal cord state in students of special health group

Objective: to study morphofunctional state of students of special health group and to provide its scientific evidence. We scanned spinal column with “3D Scanner” (“MBN”, Moscow). Plan view was performed in frontal, sagittal and horizontal planes. According to conditioning, the parameters included arc chord length, spans and angle of different body fragments. Examination involved first-year students at the age of 17-18 (16 girls and 16 boys). The results of spinal column scan showed that morphofunctional peculiarities determined auxologic organism abilities of students of special health group and control group. Age-related standards of spinal column state are substantial not only for student health evaluation, but also for disclosure of deviations from reference limits during transient and pathological processes. Disturbance of physical development may be result of statical peculiarities, congenital or acquired developmental pathology. Physical development reflects health and environmental conditions and allows predicting population viability.
