Comparative constructions in the Siberian Veps language

In the Siberian Veps language, comparative relations are expressed by the means of several types of constructions: 1) constructions where the comparative component is expressed with the help of comparative adjective comparative - the comparative, the superlative, the equative; 2) constructions with analytical markers - conjunctions or postpositions; 3) constructions where comparison is expressed with the hel of analytical and synthetic means, using the conjunctions ku, mi ʻthenʼ and a comparative marker; 4) constructions with comparative predicates. Reliable comparison is expressed through syntethic and analytical-synthetic constructions; for unreliable comparison, analytical constructions are used.
