Comparative analysis of value orientations of young people in Soviet and post-Soviet time

Young people play one of the most important roles in the development of modern Russian society. They are considered to be a significant strategic resource as the youth determines the future of any country. It is impossible to create a legal state and a civil society without the participation of a younger generation. The author of the present study conducts the comparative analysis of value orientations of young people in Soviet time and in modern Russia. There are considered the historical periods and dominant values of young people during these times. The author also defines the conditions under which changes in value orientations occur. The current period is marked by the transformation of the value system, and first of all, the value system of the youth. As a result, the author draws conclusions about the importance of modern youth as an integral part of the social system, which plays a significant role in the process of human development.
