The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the reading characteristics of Moscow teenagers before and after a period of forced rather long distance learning associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the study and comparison of reading by Moscow teenagers in 2019 and 2022 are presented. Possible reasons for changes in the repertoire and reading motivation of adolescents associated with the forced transition to full or partial distance learning are discussed.
