Comparative analysis of the formation stages of the Barnaul and the Novosibirsk agglomerations

The article is concerned with a comparative analysis of the interrelations established between the Novosibirsk and the Barnaul agglomerations. The author proposes some methodological basis to improve the municipalities’ territorial arrangement. Some forms and methods of managing the territories integrated into new spatial formations are thus considered.
