Young people living in a large industrial city have been screened. 474 people aged 19-44 have been examined (118 men and 356 women), the average age of men is 26,38 ± 7,7, the average age of women is 24,91 ± 8,2. It’s been found out that one third of respondents (35,65 %) have a risk factor of pulmonary diseases, such as allergic history and hereditary diseases. There are more smokers among men (50,1 % male smokers against 24,1 % female smokers), that is followed by a low value of respiratory function. Smoking people have more respiratory symptoms which enable to suspect bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease.
