Comparative analysis of the Krasnyy Most and Early Volosovo ceramics of the Mari Volga region

He paper reports on the results of comparative analysis of the Krasnyy Most type of ceramics and the Volosovo ceramics originating from the Middle Volga region. The typological and technical/technological analyses point to similarities between the Krasnyy Most and the Early Volosovo ceramics with regard to the form of vessels, decoration, selection of raw material and application of organic solutions. However, there are a number of differences between these assemblages such as specific elements of decoration, forms of rims, different concepts of the clay composition developed by the populations.
