The article is devoted to the problem of comparative analysis of the motivation of educational activities of first and fifth year medical students. The study was conducted with the help of “Methods of diagnosing motivation for learning activities: the levels and types of development of Dombrovskoy”, 30 first-year students and 30 fifth-year students of a medical university acted as respondents. The results obtained can be applied in the psychological support of first-year students and the creation of various training programs for undergraduate students, whose overall goal is to increase the motivation of students' learning activities.
