Comparative analysis of the directions of development of Russian and foreign companies in the power industry

The rate of development of the electric power industry is ahead of other industries in every industrialized country. In view of the growing importance of market factors, over the past 30 years, the electricity market has undergone tremendous changes: technologies have improved, competitors have appeared, companies that are leaders in the industry have merged, new opportunities have opened up for using energy sources that were not previously used, etc. The Russian energy cluster cannot exist in isolation from world realities - also because the largest companies are focused on the export of energy resources. As a result, it is important to carry out a comparative analysis of the development directions of domestic and foreign companies in the energy industry. During the study, it was found that Russian companies are currently focusing on replacing outdated generating equipment and optimizing energy costs, while foreign companies are focused on renewable energy sources and optimizing and modernizing innovative developments.
